Filling in the Gaps

Since this is both a fashion and lifestyle blog and travel is a huge passion of mine, I felt it necessary to play a little catch up in what has happened in my life since I fell off the face of the internet:

-April-
I competed in my first Boston Marathon...one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I'm signed up for 2015 as well and am sure it will be as equally amazing

-May-
Hopped across the pond with my friend Chelsie to London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Ireland. Traveling there again further instilled my need to live there for at least a short period of my life. It will happen.

-June-
Went to my first music festival in Delaware with my other travel buddy Lindsey where we danced until 2am at the silent disco in the middle of a forest.

-July, August-
Enjoyed the beauty of northern Michigan. Up North is still my favorite place in the world.

-September-
Visited a friend in Colorado, hiked Pike's Peak, and had my first experience with altitude sickness.

-October-
Vamped it up with friends for a Halloween dance party, and took advantage of how great Michigan is in the fall.

Recalling of the events from the last seven months through this post reminds me how lucky I have been to have these experiences yet also reminds me of how much more of the world is out there yet to discover. Looking through these photographs ignites this desire in me to up and leave and go wherever my gut tells me to go. Now if I could only discover the formula of how to travel the world, still keep my job, and not be in debt from all the adventures I'd be all set :)

Well well well, it's been quite some time since I posted or even looked at my own blog. It's something I've thought about often but didn't have the inspiration or motivation to move forward with actively posting. Call it blogger's block if you will, but whenever I thought of something that might be potential blog material, there was this voice in the back of my mind saying "no, that's not good enough". So there it sat in internet oblivion, collecting electronic dust.

And then fall showed up.

There are many things I love about living in Michigan, with fall being near the top of my list. The clear blue skies, the changing leaves, the crisp air. It was this past weekend on a particularly beautiful day where I finally felt inspired again. For those of you who do not experience a Midwest fall, believe me when I say the air is different this time of year, and you can practically feel the change blowing past you. Whenever this happens I get this feeling of excitement and anticipation inside me, for unknown things to come. It's somewhat unexplainable but there truly is this buzzing energy that cannot be ignored and it was this that brought me out of my blogging rut.

It'll probably be baby steps getting back into the routine of posting, but I can't wait to get into the swing of things and channel my inner creativity into something. So hello, Internet friends. It's lovely to see you again :)

XOXO
